WFA Run for the Water, Westport MA 5/12
The 8th annual Run for the Water takes place on beautiful Horseneck Beach and is hosted by the Westport Fisherman’s Association. The 8K road race and 3 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk are a great way to spend some time on the beach while raising funds to protect and preserve the Wesport River. All registered runners & walkers get a snazzy cotton WFA race t-shirt, food provided by the Back Eddy restaurant, and a chance to win some great prizes from sponsors. M.O.M.’s Run, Somerville, MA 5/13
Celebrate motherhood and help raise funds for cancer research by honoring longtime Somerville resident Mary O’Brien, who lost her battle with cancer in 2002. New post race party location at the Burren back room and parking lot with Harpoon and Red Bones sponsoring the food and beverages and DJ Dave mixing tunes. Melrose Run For Women, Melrose, MA 5/13
Sorry, fellas, but this awesome WOMEN ONLY 3.5 mile race is a great way to kick off Mother’s Day. Run as a mother/daughter team or as an individual on this beautiful course that winds though the Swains Pond section of Melrose. The race finishes with children handing out flowers, baked goods, coffee, music and awards for top overall and age group finishers, top mother, top grandmother and top mother/daughter team. Wellesley 1 Miler – Wellesley, MA 5/13
Need to fit in a quick race before heading off to Mom’s? The Wellesley 1 Miler is for you! The race starts at 9:00AM and is perfect for all levels. (Many of us haven’t raced just a mile in years – where do you stand against your high school self?) Hang out post race in the Whole Foods parking lot with vendors providing free food and drinks and music from Mix 104.1. Proceeds from the race benefit the Children’s Hospital Boston and the Hannah Randolph Memorial Fund. REGISTER HERE!
Rok-A-5K Run, Walk & Kid’s Fun Run, Hamilton, MA 5/19
Join TriRock to get moving and support creating healthier families through running, biking, and swimming at the Rok-a-5K.

Marathon Physical Therapy 5K, Norwood, MA 5/19
Come support Matt Brown, a Norwood High School hockey player who was paralyzed during a game in 2010, and the Norwood High School Track & Field team. This super unique event includes a 5K run/walk and a 3, 6 or 12 mile paddling race along the Mystic River. Sign up for just the run, just a paddle race or both! Support the Holland Elementary 6th grade trip to Camp Bournedale. This 5K race starts at the school and ends at Team Hoyt’s Finish Line restaurant.
