9/15 Lighthouse to Lighthouse Boat Race – Norwalk, CT
There was a great turnout for the Mystic River Watershed Association‘s Herring Run & Paddle in Somerville this May – can’t get enough of paddlesports? Join us in Norwalk, CT for this open water race. Choose from a 7 mile or 14 mile route. There’s also a beach BBQ & picnic following the race – hold on to summer as long as possible!
9/16 Jared’s Run 2012 – Everett, MA
Great long sleeve t-shirts for the first 100 runners at this 2nd year 5K race in Everett. The race flyer gets it right: mention the post race party in big bold letters! That’s what runners want to know, right?
9/23 Lt. William C. West Jr. ALS Memorial Road Race – Billerica, MA
Billerica comes out in force for this road race that is a fundraiser for the ALS Association. Scholarships are also awarded to local students from race proceeds. The race also boasts of a HUGE post race community BBQ.
9/30 The Forget Me Not Road Race – Braintree, MA
This is a dog friendly road race, and even has a separate dog walk – where one dog will be crowned “Best In Show.” Pretty cool! We’d recommend this one as a good warmup for Run Against Cancer Events’ Doggy 5K in November.
